Sediment cores collected are brought into warm labs on the ship to take samples and do some early analyses. We have collected over 1000 samples for a variety of analyses that will be conducted by scientists in Illinois, New York, Minnesota, and Canada. We can already see changes that have occurred as the Larsen Ice Shelf retreated. Now we will try and determine what caused the Larsen Ice Shelf to melt away.
