Tim Reilly

Tim Reilly received his BS in Geology at

Muskingum College before coming to SIUC.

He is working on his MS in Geology investigating

the Miocene-Pleistocene paleoclimatic and

paleoceanographic evolution of the coastal region

of northern Chile.  Tim spent 3 weeks collecting

samples in the Mejillones Peninsula region of

northern Chile and is currently conducting

foraminiferal analyses on the samples.

Scott McCallum

Scott McCallum received his BS in Geology at

Indiana University of Pennsylvania before coming to SIUC.  He is working on his MS in Geology investigating the Holocene paleoclimatic and paleoceanographic evolution of the former Larsen-B region of the eastern Antarctic Peninsula.   Scott spent 7 weeks on a scientific cruise aboard the R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer collecting samples in the Larsen-B region of the eastern Antarctic Peninsula and is currently conducting foraminiferal analyses on the samples.

Christopher Williams

Christopher Williams received his BS in Geology at Wheaton College and MS in Geology at Delaware University before coming to SIUC.  He is pursuing his PhD in Geology investigating the late Holocene ecosystem history of Biscayne Bay, Florida.   Christopher is currently funded by the U.S. Geological Survey and is collecting samples from Biscayne Bay, Florida for foraminiferal and geochemical analyses.

Phillip Szymcek

Phillip Szymcek is a graduate of Carbondale H.S. and is pursuing his BS degree in Geology. Phill is a recipient of an ORDA Undergraduate Research Fellowship using the grant to research modern foraminiferal distributions in the Larsen-A region of the eastern Antarctic Peninsula.  Phill presented his results at the 2001 Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America in Boston.  He continues his research and studies in paleontology.
